MusicCovered 6.2 is Out!!!!
Category: General Discussion

Lyrics always a big bonus. I've been singing some songs for 30 odd years incorrectly. It's always nice to dig in to the smiths and mozs lyrics as they are so deep.
Look forward to it.
Thank you — I completely agree.
Lyrics really do add a lot to the experience, and sometimes they make you realize you’ve been singing the wrong words for years. And yes, with The Smiths and Morrissey especially, the lyrics are such an important part of the music because there is so much depth, detail, and meaning in them.
That is exactly why I think lyrics will be a very valuable addition to MusicCovered, and I’m happy you’re looking forward to it.
Excellent update. I did think, oh god i'm now going to go and have to trawl for lyrics but your app does it for you! What a lifesaver that is. Lyrics work really well.
It's really coming along very nice.
Last night I Purchased an old 2017 imac 27" 5k so-so CPU but the reason for buying, 64GB DDR4 and 2 TB SSD! Got musiccovered running on it now. First app I installed after running OCLP. Looks amazing on the 5k screen.
Thank you again.
Maybe a thought for the future. Sometimes it would be nice if you are listening to a song and could click on a button and it would take you to that youtube video of the song.
Thank you so much — I’m really happy to hear that you liked the update.
I’m especially glad the lyrics feature has been useful for you, because I know how time-consuming it can be to go looking for them manually. It was important to me that this part of the experience felt simple and natural, so I’m very pleased to hear it is working well for you.
And that iMac setup sounds fantastic — MusicCovered on a 27-inch 5K display must look wonderful. I’m honestly very happy that it was the first app you installed.
There are some really nice new features on the way as well, so more good things are coming soon.
As for the YouTube idea, that was actually already on my roadmap, but I want to think carefully about the best way to implement it so it feels useful and well integrated with the app.
I’ll also be making a post very soon about one of the main new features planned for the next version.
Thank you again for the support — messages like yours really mean a lot.
