Bug Reports

Hi! I noticed some bugs, some are major and some are less but still important over the long term in enjoying the use of this app:

- The spacing of text in karaoke mode is not steady, the words are jumping and the spacing of the sentence changes as they get highlighted (current sentence singing)
- Library crashes a lot while loading, mine wont even load in fully because it will constantly crash, I only have M4A's and MP3's, around a 100GB. (I've sent a crash report by mail)
- Sometimes the Vinyl/CD wont be visible or turning/rotating, no idea how or when this happens, it's just random.
- The fancy library flows/modes are lagging and not smooth with a big library loaded in. (I wasn't able to load in my full library yet so I took a part, around 25GB) Animations in all kinds like rotating, spinning or flipping are bugging too. (NOTE: This is when Macbook is not plugged in the power!!!) This is reduced by 80% when plugged in power.
- My Macbook lets me know that this app is a high power usage app. Maybe there could be things to reduce this.
- The app also crashes randomly sometimes, like when I plug my macbook in the power, attach a second screen or closing the macbook and reopen it.
- The image-size of all the products: Vinyl/CD/Casettes don't have enough pixels to be sharp and crisp on attached screens like TV's or second screens. It's very low quality and unsharp.
- The background and text color appear to generate randomly. Is there a way you can change this? for example, if I like a specific yellow Vinyl with a Purple background instead of a white or green background?
- The switch-movement animation between cover and record is a bit weird as it cuts off and randomly fades in again.

I hope you find these useful. I enjoy contributing ideas and bugfixes to help this app show it's best side.

Hi! Thank you very much for the detailed feedback and for sending the crash report.
The version you tested is now quite old, and most of the issues you reported have already been addressed in the upcoming release:
Karaoke text spacing is now stable while lyrics are highlighted.
Library loading has been made more reliable and efficient, especially for large music collections.
Random issues with Vinyl/CD visibility and rotation have been fixed.
Animation performance and power usage have been improved, particularly when running on battery or when the app is not visible.
Handling of sleep/wake, power changes and external displays is now more robust.
Vinyl, CD and cassette graphics now render at a higher, display-appropriate resolution, including on TVs and Retina/external displays.
Random vinyl and background colors can now be disabled, and preferred color styles can be selected in Settings.
The transition between the album cover and the record has been corrected and should now appear smooth and consistent.
The current version has also been tested with a music library of almost 2 TB without experiencing loading or stability issues. This suggests that the problem was related to the older version rather than simply to the size of the library. Of course, feedback after the new release will still be very welcome.

Well, I thank you for replying so fast on both my bug report and my function requests with really great answers. It warms my heart to see that you're working really hard to improve this project daily and taking the community serious. I really can't wait to get the next update so I'll be able to start my adventure here. Once I'm able to import my full library, I'm 100% switching to MusicCovered!
