Is there a way of sharing the artwork customisation and setup?

Just like MusicBrainz shares the metadata for a release and can tag tracks and releases with Picard or other taggers, how can we share the setup for an album so,we don’t each have to do all the work?

That’s a very interesting idea — and I understand exactly what you mean now.

At the moment, MusicCovered doesn’t have a community system for sharing album customisations in the same way that MusicBrainz shares release metadata.

What you’re suggesting would essentially be a MusicCovered album profile: once someone has properly configured a specific release — artwork, CD/vinyl images, booklet, additional images and MusicCovered-specific settings — that setup could be shared with other MusicCovered users who own the same release.

Ideally, it could be associated with a MusicBrainz Release ID, so MusicCovered could identify the exact edition and apply the appropriate setup automatically rather than everyone having to recreate it.

I really like this concept. It would be particularly useful for collectors, where different pressings of the same album can have different discs, artwork and booklets.

There is currently no central MusicCovered community database for this, but you’ve given me a very interesting idea for a future feature.
