I’m excited to introduce MusicCovered Mobile, the evolution of MusicCovered Remote for iPhone and iPad.

Until now, the mobile app was mainly designed as a companion for MusicCovered on Mac. With this new release, that changes completely.

MusicCovered Mobile is now a full, independent music player.

🎧 Your music, now truly mobile

You can now play your music directly on your iPhone or iPad, without needing MusicCovered running on your Mac.

There are two ways to take your collection with you:

Wi-Fi Transfer
Connect to MusicCovered on your Mac and download albums and tracks directly to your iPhone or iPad. Once transferred, your music is available for offline playback, wherever you are.

Plex Integration
Already have your music collection on Plex? Connect your Plex account and access your personal music library while you’re away from home.

💿 CoverFlow on iPhone & iPad

CoverFlow is, of course, a big part of the MusicCovered experience.

MusicCovered Mobile includes a beautiful album-focused browsing experience with multiple CoverFlow styles and extensive customization options, designed specifically for touch.

Browse your collection visually, explore your albums and enjoy your artwork the way it deserves.

🎨 Make it yours

MusicCovered Mobile offers many options to personalize the player and its interface.

Customize CoverFlow, artwork presentation, backgrounds and other visual elements to create the experience that best fits your collection.

🖥️ And yes, it’s still a Remote

The original MusicCovered Remote functionality isn’t going away.

MusicCovered Mobile can still connect to MusicCovered on your Mac, allowing you to browse your Mac library, start albums and playlists, search your collection and control playback directly from your iPhone or iPad.

So now you can choose how you want to use it:

Play locally. Download from your Mac. Access your Plex collection. Or control MusicCovered on your Mac.

All from the same app.

A new chapter for MusicCovered

Changing the name from MusicCovered Remote to MusicCovered Mobile reflects what the app has become.

It’s no longer simply an accessory for the Mac application. It’s becoming a complete MusicCovered experience designed specifically for iPhone and iPad.

And this is just the beginning — I already have more ideas for expanding the mobile experience in future updates.
