General Discussion

You asked for it. We listened. And we’re working on it!

Over the past few months, one of the most requested features from the MusicCovered community has been bit-perfect audio playback.

As many of you know, MusicCovered has always focused on delivering a beautiful, immersive, and highly customizable music listening experience. From CoverFlow to animated vinyl records, VU meters, and extensive library management tools, our goal has always been to make enjoying your personal music collection something special.

But great looks deserve equally great sound.

🎧 The Next Step: Bit-Perfect Playback

Actually, development of bit-perfect playback began several months ago. However, I decided to temporarily put it on hold to prioritize other features, improvements, and major updates to the application.

Now, I believe it’s time to give this highly requested feature the attention it deserves.

I’m happy to share that development has resumed and is already progressing through an important testing phase.

The goal is to implement true bit-perfect playback, allowing audio to reach your DAC without unnecessary resampling, volume adjustments, or other digital processing that could alter the original signal.

There is still work to be done, and several technical aspects need to be carefully tested and refined.

However, if development and testing continue as expected, there’s a very good chance that bit-perfect playback will be introduced in MusicCovered 7.4!

This is not an official confirmation yet, but it’s definitely one of my main development priorities right now.

🚀 Meanwhile, MusicCovered 7.3 Is Coming!

While work continues on bit-perfect playback, MusicCovered 7.3 is currently awaiting Apple’s approval on the Mac App Store.

This update brings several bug fixes, stability improvements, and graphical refinements.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before it’s available to everyone!

❤️ Thank You for Your Support!

MusicCovered continues to evolve thanks to your feedback, suggestions, and enthusiasm.

My goal has always been to create something more than just another music player: an application that combines the pleasure of exploring your music collection with an increasingly refined listening experience.

Bit-perfect playback would represent another important step in that direction.

Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Stay tuned. There’s much more to come! 🎶

Your Music, Beautifully.
