I have a library consisting of something like 480 albums. Each album contains AIFF tracks along with a picture of the cover art. When try to import my files into MusicCovered running on a MacBook Air M5, I get for each folder and each track the error message
AVFoundation/Media read failure: see a copy of the MusicCovered-Scan Report for the first track:

All other tracks show the same reort.

Can someone help to resolve the issue?

I should also say that the library imports without issues into Roon and Audirvana.

Hi, thanks for reporting this issue!

The bug affecting AIFF file imports has already been fixed in the upcoming MusicCovered 8, which is currently in beta testing.

However, to make sure everything works correctly with your files, would you be able to send me a few sample AIFF tracks via WeTransfer at info@musiccovered.com? This would allow me to test them directly and verify that the issue has been completely resolved.

Also, if you’re interested, I’d be happy to send you the MusicCovered 8 beta so you can try it out and check whether your entire library imports correctly.

You’ll receive an invitation email as soon as I publish the MusicCovered 8 beta on TestFlight.

In the meantime, you’ll just need to download and install TestFlight from the Mac App Store.

Once you receive the invitation email, you’ll be able to join the beta testing program and install MusicCovered 8 directly through TestFlight.

Just as a quick experiment, I converted a few folders from AIFF to FLAC. All albums so converted imported perfectly well.
